Mo. Rev. Stat. § 476.500

Acceptance by judge — procedure. — Any person who desires to accept the provisions of sections 476.450 to 476.510 shall notify the governor in writing of such fact; and if he be qualified the governor shall certify such fact to the commissioner of administration and state auditor and to the chief justice of the supreme court.
