In this subchapter: (1) "Correctional facility" means a facility operated by or under contract with the department. (2) "Offender" means an inmate or state jail defendant confined in a correctional facility. Added by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 643 (H.B. 1711 ), Sec. 2, eff. June 19, 2009.
