Sec. 8. (a) The department may enter into a lease with the society for the society's use of any part of the building, exterior improvements, and surrounding site. (b) Notwithstanding the term limitation for a lease under IC 4-13-1-4(10), the department may enter into a lease under subsection (a) for a term of not more than ninety-nine (99) years. (c) Rent under a lease entered into under this section is one dollar ($1) each year, payable in advance. (d) A lease entered into under this section may permit the building to house state activities or functions. As added by P.L.22-1992, SEC.1. Amended by P.L.49-1997, SEC.16; P.L.213-2025, SEC.54.
