(625 ILCS 5/7-608) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 7-608) Sec. 7-608. Verification-limitation. No verification procedure established under this Code shall include individual inspections of vehicles on a highway solely for the purpose of verifying the existence of an insurance policy. No law enforcement officer shall stop a vehicle solely for the purpose of verifying the existence of a valid insurance policy. (Source: P.A. 86-149.)
