A domestic insurance company or another insurance company specifically made subject to this subchapter may not engage in the business of a broker or salesperson as defined by Chapter 1101 , Occupations Code, except that the company may hold, improve, maintain, manage, rent, lease, sell, exchange, or convey any of the real property interests owned as investments under Sections 425.109-425.132 and 425.151-425.153.
