in effectA manufacturer or supplier of jewelry who knowingly and with intent to deceive, falsifies any document or certificate required to be kept or produced pursuant to this article is subject to a fine of not more than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), by imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year, or by both that fine and imprisonment.
