Sess. ch. 9, § 7] Editor’s Notes — Former § 41-5-45 dealt with the keeping of the records and accounts of the board of trustees of mental institutions, required them to be open for public inspection, and required the board to inspect the mental institutions regularly and frequently. Former§ 41-5-47 required the board of trustees of mental institutions to provide a uniform accounting system for the mental institutions, to make an annual report to the legislature, to prepare an annual budget for each institution, and to be the exclusive representative of the mental institutions in dealing with the legislature. Former § 41-5-49 contained specific requirements as to the form and contents of the annual report made to the Legislature by the board of trustees of mental institutions. Former § 41-5-51 abolished the office of superintendent for each mental institution under the jurisdiction of the board of trustees of mental institutions. Former § 41-5-53 dealt with the employment, qualifications, compensation, powers, authority, duties, and removal of a director for each institution under the jurisdiction of the board of trustees of mental institutions.
