Answer by claimant of property - Time for filing Within twenty days after the service of the summons and complaint for forfeiture, the owner of the property to be forfeited and any other person with a legal interest in the property may file an answer claiming an interest in that property and claiming that person's interest is not subject to forfeiture under this chapter.
