(a) Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, Chapter 49 , Water Code, applies to the authority. (b) This chapter does not prevail over or preempt a provision of Chapter 36 , Water Code, or of Chapter 8801 or 8834 of this code that is being implemented by the Fort Bend Subsidence District or applicable subsidence district.
