Sec. 5. If a licensed child placing agency assumes custody of a safe haven infant under section 2 of this chapter, the licensed child placing agency shall do the following: (1) Without unnecessary delay, place the safe haven infant in a preapproved adoptive home with a prospective adoptive parent who intends to adopt the safe haven infant. (2) File a petition to terminate the parent-child relationship under IC 31-35-1.5. As added by P.L.45-2023, SEC.9.
