(a) To be qualified to be a candidate for or to serve as director at large, a person must be a registered voter in the district. (b) To be a candidate for or to serve as director from a county commissioners precinct, a person must be a registered voter of that precinct, except as provided by Section 8874.052 (d). (c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director unless the person owns land in the district. Added by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 467 (S.B. 1012 ), Sec. 1, eff. September 1, 2013.
