Ind. Code § 1-1-15-0.1 "Covered communications equipment or service"

Sec. 0.1. As used in this chapter, "covered communications equipment or service" means communications equipment or service (as defined in 47 CFR 1.50001(c)) that is: (1) determined under 47 CFR 1.50002 to pose an unacceptable risk to the national security of the United States or the security and safety of United States persons; and (2) included on the covered list (as defined in 47 CFR 1.50001(f)) that is: (A) published; (B) maintained; and (C) updated; by the federal Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau on the website of the Federal Communications Commission under 47 CFR 1.50002 and 47 CFR 1.50003. Ind. Code § 1-1-15-1 "Political subdivision"

Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "political subdivision" has the meaning set forth in IC 36-1-2-13. As added by P.L.8-2020, SEC.1.

Ind. Code § 1-1-15-2 "Prohibited person"

Sec. 2. As used in this chapter, "prohibited person" refers to a person that has been designated as posing a national security threat to the integrity of communications networks or the communications supply chain under 47 CFR 54.9. As added by P.L.8-2020, SEC.1.

Ind. Code § 1-1-15-3 "State agency"

Sec. 3. As used in this chapter, "state agency" means an authority, board, branch, commission, committee, department, division, or other instrumentality of any of the following: (1) The executive, including the administrative department of state government. (2) The legislative department of state government. (3) The judicial department of state government. (4) A state educational institution. (5) A body corporate and politic created by statute. Ind. Code § 1-1-15-4 Prohibited granting or use of appropriations

Sec. 4. Money appropriated by the general assembly or a political subdivision may not be granted to or used to purchase or obtain any: (1) equipment or services produced or provided by a prohibited person; or (2) covered communications equipment or service. Sec. 5. A prohibited person is not considered responsible or best for purposes of determining whether a bidder or offeror is responsible or best under any of the following: (1) IC 4-13.6. (2) IC 5-16. (3) IC 5-22. (4) IC 8-23-9. (5) IC 36-1-12. (6) Any other statute under which a state agency or political subdivision awards a contract. As added by P.L.8-2020, SEC.1.
