(a) The mayor and members of the governing body of the city shall appoint voting directors from persons recommended by the board. A person is appointed if a majority of the members of the governing body, including the mayor, vote to appoint that person. (b) Section 375.063 , Local Government Code, does not apply to the district. Added by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 885 (H.B. 4180 ), Sec. 2, eff. June 18, 2015.
