In this chapter: (1) "Emergency medical services" has the meaning assigned by Section 773.003 , Health and Safety Code. (2) "Emergency medical services provider" has the meaning assigned by Section 773.003 , Health and Safety Code. (3) "Hospital" means a person or institution maintaining a facility that provides hospital services in this state. (4) "Person" does not include a county, common, or independent school district.
