(a) This chapter does not authorize the practice of medicine as defined by state law. (b) This chapter does not repeal, modify, or amend Section 164.051 , 164.052 , 164.053 , 164.054 , or 164.056 , Occupations Code, and a health maintenance organization is not exempt from those sections.
