Upon receipt of a notice of a felony conviction and imposition of a sentence of incarceration sent by a United States attorney pursuant to the National Voter Registration Act (52 U.S.C. § 20501 et seq.), the Department shall notify the appropriate general registrar of the conviction and sentence of incarceration. 1996, cc. 72 , 73 ; 2015, c. 740 ; 2026, cc. 992 , 1081 .
