Ind. Code § 25-38.1-4-7
in effectSec. 7. A licensed veterinarian or a registered veterinary technician who, on the veterinarian's or technician's own initiative, gives emergency treatment to a sick or injured animal is not liable in damages to the owner of the animal in the absence of gross negligence.
